Recipe 004 – Deviled Eggs and Bacon-Wrapped Chicken

You say have a party about to happen, and you don’t know what to make for it. Don’t worry; I gotcha.

There are two party dishes which, if you make them right, everyone will love, and thankfully they’re very easy to make! So it is that today we’re going to learn ¬†how ot make deviled eggs and bacon-wrapped chicken!

You will need:

Deviled eggs:

Eggs. How many depends on how many people you want to serve. Assume about two eggs per person, and round up to the nearest half-dozen.

Mayonnaise

Mustard (standard yellow or Dijon)

Salt

Pepper

Dill weed

Paprika

A hand mixer

Bacon-wrapped chicken:

Boneless, skinless chicken breasts. Approximately one for every three or four people.

Bacon. One 16oz package for every ten people.

One can of Tony Chachere’s Creole Seasoning

1 pound of brown sugar

Toothpicks

Baking sheet

Cooling rack

Aluminum foil

Hammity-ham! Wonderful ham!

Yep, it’s time for that old Easter classic, ham! It’s so incredibly easy to make. How easy? Well, it’s easy enough that I’m going out of my way to make it slightly more difficult than it has to be!

You will need:

1 ham

Some aluminum foil

Cooking spray

A baking dish

The ability to resist rolling your eyes at how easy it is to bake a ham

Rob’s Recipes – 001 – Smoked Pork

What is Rob, you might ask? This is Rob.

Rob is my very best friend, and he loves to cook! He’s got a great recipe for making smoked pork butt (butt…tee-hee!), and here’s how you make it!

You will need:

5 – 7 pounds of pork roast, ideally shoulder or Boston butt (giggle!)

3 tablespoons of paprika

1 tablespoon of garlic powder

1 tablespoon of brown sugar

1 tablespoon of dry mustard

3 tablespoons of coarse sea salt

1 mixing bowl

1 smoker

1 bag of wood chips

1 temperature probe

1 quart of apple cider
